In Lab Futura, we stand for equality, diversity and inclusion.
We are a non-profit non-governmental organisation founded in Riga, Latvia, by experienced professionals willing to contribute to society.
We focus on programs that stem from the world of social sciences and education, believing firmly that they are a tool to achieve real change in our society.
Our work is focused on topics, such as gender equality, empowerment of women and youth, inclusion of migrants and refugees, society integration and community development.
We provide training, organise various events and conduct research, policy analysis and evaluations.

Public benefit
We were granted Public Benefit Organisation status in August 2024. Public benefit activities provide significant benefits to society or a part of it.
Democratic participation
We have joined the Cooperation Memorandums of Non-Governmental Organisations and the Cabinet of Ministers of Latvia and the City of Riga and Non-governmental organisations.
Society integration
We are a member of the Consultative Council of the Riga City Council on issues of social integration.
Family-friendly workplace
We have joined the family-friendly workplace movement. The goal of the movement is to promote the development of a work environment culture that is empathetic, humane and understanding.
Civil society
We are a member of Civic Alliance – Latvia, the largest umbrella organization that advocates for non-governmental sector interests in Latvia.
Working greener
We have joined the goodwill memorandum of the Latvian Fund for Nature on organizing nature and environment-friendly events.
CORE TEAM
Alise Vītola
A passionate researcher and trainer, author of numerous training materials. Her work focuses on empowerment of women, youth and migrants. Alise is an experienced EU project manager and holds a PhD in Economics.
Gunita Ģēģere
An experienced project manager and expert in the field of migration and integration. Has worked in the IOM and Asylum Seekers Accommodation Department in Latvia. Gunita has also taken part in EU EUAA's missions in Greece and Cyprus.
Dana Šurova
A project manager by education, she is a creative mind with extensive experience in performing arts and wellness industry. She is a world traveller, an experienced event organiser with exceptional service skills
